Synopsis

Director Wes Craven brings this horror classic back to life with an amazing cast. Staying at Monte Carlo a shy lady meets a wealthy man, who is still haunted by the boating accident that took his wife, and falls in love. They decided to get married at his large estate known as the Manderley. After they get married Mrs. De Winter meets the housekeeper Mrs. Danvers who was devoted to her previous co-owner Rebecca who begins to drive the second Mrs. De Winter mad. As Mrs. De Winter tries to make a life with her new husband Maxim she finds out Rebecca still has a strange presence on everyone at Manderley.

Director Wes Craven who directed horror classics The Hill Have Eyes, Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween brings another masterpiece to life after the critical success of Red Eye. George Clooney stars as Maxim De Winter who is coming off of an Oscar win for Syriana and also produces this film. Sigourney Weaver plays the maniacal house keeper Mrs. Danvers and is sure to have an Oscar nomination come her way for the role of her lifetime. Mrs. De Winter played by Scarlett Johansson who is coming off of the critical success of “Match Point” brings a memorable performance. John Williams brings a chilling score that is sure to go down in history. With the writing skills of Shyamalan and a promising cast with also a deserving director this is sure to be nominated for Best Picture come Oscar time.
